  3. Aligning the Instrument

  5. Cover one of the patientΓÇÖs eyes 
  6. with the occluder.  It is best to 
  7. always start by measuring the 
  8. right eye with the left eye 
  9. covered.

  11. The instrument should be set 
  12. to the VIEW setting with the 
  13. lever which is up on the body 
  14. of the instrument just in front 
  15. of the eyepiece.  This illuminates the eye.  Position the instrument with the joystick and vertical height knob 
  16. such that the crosshair is in focus and centered in the pupil.
